Acentia maintains a strong foothold in the healthcare market, over the past 13 years we have supported the top federal health agencies. Our longstanding relationship with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is rooted in our ability to execute their mission of improving the health, safety, and well-being of America by providing IT services to a number of major HHS Operating Divisions, such as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the National Institutes of Health (NIH) the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), whose project Common Working File (CWF) involves Acentia’s support of a legacy mainframe system composed of approximately 2.4 million lines of code. CWF processes Medicare insurance claims at rates of nearly five million claims per day serving more than 53 million beneficiaries nationwide. We work in partnership with HHS and its stakeholders to build and maintain both clinical and administrative systems, and to provide IT oversight and subject matter expertise to further the Agency’s mission by modernizing, or evolve existing technologies to align more closely with current business needs.
As the Military Health System’s (MHS), third largest contractor on the TRICARE Evaluation, Analysis, Management, and Support (TEAMS) contract vehicle, Acentia provides program and technical management support to the MHS in a variety of subject areas such as Enterprise Infrastructure (EI), the Base Realignment and Closures (BRAC), and the Joint Task Force National Capital Region Medical Command (JTF CapMed), in which we led the technical effort to migrate three of the largest healthcare facilities within the MHS to a single governance framework. Acentia has become a trusted partner and advisor for the MHS and Defense Health Agency (DHA), known for providing management and acquisition support to ensure mission success.
In the future, our health care system will become more and more dependent on the knowledge and forward thinking of technology experts like Acentia. And through years of reliable service and success, we’ve proven that we can provide trust as well.
